Originally a 2010 release, the Air Jordan 3 Retro ‘Doernbecher’ 2013 re-released three years later. Designed by Cole Johanson while he was fighting cancer, the shoe features a Varsity Red upper accented by a diamond pattern throughout. Red elephant print emerges on the overlays, while black accents create a ‘Bred’ look, an intentional choice by Johanson. ‘COURAGE’ and ‘STR3NGTH’ appear on the insole, with Cole’s name subtly etched into the base and spaghetti and chocolate designs inside the back flap.
